(209) 243 in Newman, CA

Got repeated call and no message left. Not sure if this is some telemarketing or other spam calls.

Hung up when answered; have been receiving SS claiming fines to be paid & call back to settle fine payment; CALLED SS ( waiting LONG TIME for someone to answer but worth it to report) SS RECOMMENDED report to FTC online which I did; FTC agent promptly called back next day less than 24 hours, confirming SPAM; in my late 70s & understand SPAM AIMED TO older age folks; important to report as know personally 2 people in mid 80s & early 90s who function on traditional values believing people at their word and lost THOUSANDS of dollars falling prey to such SCAMS; Absolutely SHAMEFUL REPORT ANY SUCH REQUESTS OR ALERTS SAYING SS OR IRS DEMANDS PAYMENT helping our older generation folks who dont understand these SCAM CRIMES:-( TCDBH

Told me to pay him 3000 or he would kill people

Whoever the person was, they hung up, after I answered.

Calling and thearting my children and my grandchildren

Received a call from this number yesterday. I missed the call so they left a message. Message says something like "he's (computer recorded male voice) from the SSA legal department and there's been a claim on my social security number and it's headed to court to a magistrate judge or another judge and failure to appear could be a felony charge or arrest. So before I get arrested kindly call them back at (209)243-5828 he repeats (209)243-5828" I wasn't sure what to make of this at first. Thought about calling back to see if it was a real number but decided I better look it up first. Thank God i did.

Allegedly the SSA, automated call saying youll be arrested if you dont call back. I guess the old IRS scam described above has run its course. Dont call back, delete call. The SSA or any other government agency will NEVER call you and threated you with arrest. If you call back, count on many more spam calls, since they now know they have an active number, and a gullible person at the other end

Claiming to be IRS.

Called and left a message stating they were the IRS and if I don't call back I will be arrested.

Called claiming to be with the IRS said I am being Sued
