Received call from male with heavy foreign accesnt. background was very noisy soundling like a boiler room atmosphere. Subject asked for Joseph Smith. As I was at my work phone with no Joseph Smith I decided to play along. I basically told him that Joseph was not available. the male identified himself as being from Microsoft client Services. He told me that hackers were active on Joseph's computer and he wanted to help me block them. I agreed and he directed me to open a borwser on my computer. He directed me to enter the URI www.showmypc.com. Of course I did not do this but told him that I was. The call was interupted by another business call. I put him on hold. He was gone when I got back on the line. This is likely a hacking attempt in which I would log onto this site and he would then attempt to remotely control my system. This should be reported to the Internet Crime Center. Stay Safe folks.

I received similar call today a man about micro soft windows that my email was being used on porn sites. When I asked how he got this number and how did I make sure he wasn't scamming me. he hung up. I called the number back it wouldn't even ring.

I received a call from this number and suspect it was an attempt to gain personal information. caller said he was calling about my windows application. When I questioned how he had my cell # he hung up. I attempted to call the number back and got "invalid" number recording.
