Pretending to be a friend, this person gave me a name that I did not know, and I asked for my name, and told me another name that I am not.

They are claiming someone elses identity

sent text instructing me to deposit this very large check and mail the difference back to Ruthie Johnson. Who are these people?

this entity sent me a check from a company that was legitimate, but someone ordered scrapbooking materials from me off my website, and sent a very large check. I keep getting text messages from these lowlife people, and want to register a complaint.
