This number seems to be gentitg used in the UK now, had it crop up in missed calls a few times on my home number. When you dial 1471 to view the last number called it comes up with 08663830986. Today i was in and recieved the call, and was introduced to a nice Indian call center operative called Ivan. He told me he was calling on behalf of Fast Loans, a finance brokers dealing in sorting out debt matters and reducing monthly payments. He then proceded to ask me how long i had lived in my mortaged property, well not much of a guess that one was it? I didn't give a reply. Unpeturbed he moved on to asking about high cost and amount loans? Bizare how a man thousands of miles away in India is gonna browse the UK for loans easier than a 37 year old resisdent can, but he insisted that he knew better. I never replied to any of his questions, he had my name wrong by about 7 letters short and knew very little about my circumstances. I think this is a cold call, but after reading about all the scams associated with this number in other countries i thought i would post just to make people aware of the numvber being recycled. I summed up my refusal of his advise by saying i'm not an unintelligent person (although never a good speller hehe) who would never recieve financial advice from a foreign country even if he did send his UK advisor to my house. The line went quiet for about 15 seconds, i heard him say hello, i tried to reply then it went dead.This may not be a scam, but i really think if thist Fast Loans had been a UK based company for some 17 years a Google search in UK only would have produced some results, even if it was just a list of their services. The only two links i can find with anything like FastLoans in its title is a USA based loan search engine, not a loan company. Or there is a FASTLoans site which is for loans associated with the USA education service for students. Of the two, i'm not looking for loans in the USA or am i eligible for a US Student loan grant lol.There maybe more, but thats all i can find in a web search my end.Just thought i'd post this incase its of any use to those of you following this strange number or to any in the UK who are gentitg the missed calls.Take care, and remember never to do financial dealing over the phone unless you dial them Have fun,Brian.An Amused Englishman.P.S.
